Saturday 11^th May saw two of our swimmers taking part in the Yorkshire Open Masters event at Scarborough. Brian Taylor competed in his age group (60yrs – 64yrs), whilst Matthew Harrison was the youngest swimmer in the whole event, taking part in the 18-24 year group.

Brian looked impressive as he completely dominated his age group, convincingly taking all golds in his chosen four events.

Matthew started the day with a great PB, shaving almost a full second off his previous best to take a well fought second place in the 100m Backstroke. This was followed by a great win in the 50m Butterfly beating the whole field by over a second.

Two more golds in the 100m Butterfly and 100m Individual Medley, and two more silvers in the 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle completed his haul for the day and ensured that even with only two of our swimmers taking part, the name of Adwick could still make a name for itself!
